We’re pleased to welcome Matthew Iles and Sergio Capancioni, as our guest speakers at the October edition of Business Breakfast on the topic Creating partnerships that make a difference.
How does AbbVie identify and evaluate opportunities that can lead to transformative collaborations? In this session, we’ll hear from AbbVie’s Search & Evaluation team about how they work with early ventures to create partnerships that align with AbbVie’s R&D and commercial strategies – and ultimately, make a difference for patients.
Matthew Iles holds an MSc in Organic Chemistry and an Executive MBA, and brings over 25 years of pharma industry experience. He has spent the past nine years in General Manager roles at AbbVie and Takeda, and currently serves as General Manager Scandinavia at AbbVie, leading growth across multiple therapeutic areas.
Sergio Capancioni holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and has over 20 years of experience in the pharma industry. For the past 12 years, he has worked in senior Search & Evaluation roles at AbbVie, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, and Debiopharm. In his current role as Director of Search & Evaluation, International at AbbVie, he focuses on identifying and assessing innovative therapeutic opportunities across key areas such as immunology, oncology, neurology, eye care, obesity, and medical aesthetics.
