The Life Science Ecosystem at Campus Solna

Karolinska Institutet is the main tenant at Campus Solna. For some time now, there is an effort to also develop the campus into an attractive arena for life science companies and other actors that strengthen the innovation ecosystem. This initiative is done in collaboration between the property owner Akademiska Hus, KI and KI Holding through the daughter companies KI Innovation and KI Science Park.

Today about 90 companies rent space, office and /or lab, at Campus Solna. In the past three years, the number of Life Science companies on campus has more than doubled. Most of the companies are R&D performing SMEs, and about fifty percent rent both lab and office. The majority of the companies have spun out from KI or other universities and are typical deep tech, health tech and biotech companies within Life Science and Health.
